First I would like to say that if you have the beta version of Windows 7 and have all your setting all set up and are dreading the shutdown of the Beta very soon there is an answer !

First and unless some one could enlighten me I can see no way of upgrading from Ultimate to proffessional so a downgrade in this respect is unavailable at the moment.

But Ultimate Beta to Full Utlimate is easy !

No the beta starts shutting your PC down every 2 hours on march 1st.
Safely there is no way to install over the RC canditate. If you do an upgrade you are keeping the old kernel and will not have your new kernel. Slowing down your copy of WIN7.

If ever you decide to go with another operating system, i suggest you format your HD and restart from scratch. This ensures any infections you dont know about are gone and you are then clean and ready to install a proper working OS.
As Micky said earlier the only way to upgrade from the RC canditate is to use the Ultimate version. Nothing changes with the exception of a few files that do not effect anything you do.

With all that being said I am looking into getting a volume lisence for win7 ultimate 64 bit. Anyone who wants in can let me know. It isnt free and it will run around 80 to 90 dollars canadian each. I need 30 people to get that price and the money would need to be in place before i call for the lisence. Post your name here if your interested.

Also I have discovered through my playing around with Win7 home premium disc that by editing the content of the EI.CFG file on your disc. Use power iso to make an iso of your disc or download it here.

Please dont download to many times as its my personal account and does cost me, but i offer the copy to you for free. You can easily get a crack or a key for it just about anywhere. For legal reasons i cant post how to get a key but ask me on xfire and ill tell you how to get a universal key for free. It works, I tried it today and installed WIN 7 ultimate 64 bit with a key for WIN7 starter
If you download the iso run your CFG editor tool and reburn your windows disc. If you use your own disc youll need an ISO program like Power ISO to create your own ISO file. If you dont have a CFG editor send me a message on xfire ill send you one. Its very easy. All you do is open the editor and run it and your done. Reburn your disc and reboot and you have the option to install whatever version you want.
You can install all version of win7 64 bit with your key and all versions are unlocked on your disc.
It will unlock the disc and you can install all versions of WIN7 64 bit or just one. But you can do this with any disc even WIn7 starter.
