Wolfenstein Multiplayer Facts
- There will be 3 classes in the multiplayer part of Wolfenstein: Medic, Soldier and Engineer.

- The two opposing teams will be the Resistance and the Axis.

- The gameplay is objective based.

- Standard player numbers will be 8 vs 8.

- The maps are "roughly on par with RTCW maps".

- According to id Software's Peter Sokal, "... if you were a fan of RTCW's multiplayer you can expect to see many of the elements that made it such an awesome experience, along with some new ones."

- The maps currently known are: mp_bank, mp_canals, mp_chemical, mp_facility, mp_hospital, mp_manor, mp_rooftops, and mp_tesla.

- The Veil will be implemented in the multiplayer, somehow.

- There are no vehicles in the game.

some extra leaked info:
  • Multiplayer is faster than what we've seen in singleplayer footage
  • ...but it's not as fast as Enemy Territory (but faster than Call of Duty)
  • Jumping is pretty similar to Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, and it is possible to go pretty quickly
  • Shooting from the hip is reminiscent of Enemy Territory, with the spread perhaps a bit higher - but nowhere near as high as in Call of Duty
  • You can sprint and shoot from the hip at the same time
  • Ironsight is "not bad at all" - used mainly for long-range shooting, and harder to control in F2F combat
  • Melee will be pretty similar to Call of Duty - "one punch from any direction and enemy is down"
  • Maps will be of roughly the same size as the ones in ET
  • Most of the gameplay will be in closed areas
  • Five gameplay types: Capture the Flag, Stopwatch, Last Man Standing, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch
  • Stopwatch is the same as ET, but with more objectives required to complete a map
  • You will not need a "monster PC" to run the game, and graphic tweakings are possible
  • Two types of medics - one with medipacks/ammopacks, one with the reviving kit - cannot have both
  • Reviving is not only done with a syringe, and will take 3-4 seconds. If both medics are present, reviving is double-time
  • Artillery is here, but no airstrikes
  • Soldier class has many weapons to choose from, and is the most versatile
  • The Engineer with rifle is also very powerful - can snipe the same as a soldier, otherwise has a similar role to in ET
  • Supernatural power The Veil is used in MP - but only in certain areas and for some objectives. Used differently than in SP, sometimes like UAV in COD4, and will only last a few seconds
  • Two headshots or five bodyshots to kill someone ("hitboxes are a bit weird at the moment")
  • Gun sounds are similar to CoD:WaW
  • Flamethrower is virtually identical to the one in CoD:WaW

Friday the 13th March
Last time we host an event on our public ET server!

The game that brought us together, the server we all spent hours on fragging eachother. The reason why we almost kicked Ray for his overenthousiasm, ... .
But times change and so do we ... So I'm asking everybody one last time to join us for an amazing event 'say goodbye to PhReaKz public ET server'.
We will fill the weekend of the 13th March with different events on our public server (our own invention: Hide and Seek, XP Race, ...).
Be there so we can say goodbye to Public ET serverhosting together!
Lets frag

LEFT 4 DEAD SUNDAYS
A new event that I'm trying to establish.

Hey PhReaKz!

Last Sunday I hosted an event by the name of Left 4 Dead Sunday. It worked out pretty well and everyone had an absolute blast. Since it turned out so successful, I thought I would try to make it a weekly thing where all the PhReaKz and PhReaky PhRienDz who have Left 4 Dead can come together and shoot, vomit on, strangle, punch the shit out of, pounce on and tear each other's organs out for a few hours. I'm encouraging those who have Left 4 Dead to get into this and for those who don't have it: CONSIDER GETTING IT! It is the most addicting fun I've had in a computer game since I first got into ET.

Just so everyone knows, the way it went last time I want it to go this time:

Sunday, March 1st @ 12PM Noon EST/ 5PM GMT/ 6PM GMT+1/ 7PM GMT+2

For those who want more information, feel free to PM me here on the forums. Please come out and play with us if you can!

Battlefield Heroes Closed Beta starts February 11th
The Battlefield Heroes Closed Beta will start tomorow, February the 11th. You will receive an email with instructions if you are lucky enough to get in.

Hello Heroes, You will be happy to know that we will start the Battlefield Heroes Closed Beta tomorrow, February 11th. If you already have a Beta Key from the earlier Beta phase or activated your Beta account already, you will be good to go. You will NOT need to sign up again*. Starting some time tomorrow, you will be able to Beta test Battlefield Heroes.
You will also receive a new email with guidelines and instructions in case you still need to activate your account, (re-)install the game, etc. If you don't have a Beta Key yet, please keep in mind that we’ll be giving them out in the fairest way we can, which is as follows:
  • Firstly, everyone still on the waiting list from the first Beta phase.
  • Secondly, everyone else, including those of you who sign(ed) up using our form.
  • Haven't signed up yet?
To be able to sign up you must be logged into the Heroes website with your EA account. If you don’t have an EA Account already, you can sign up for one here. Once you are logged in, head over to the sign-up form. I just signed up, but I didn't receive an email!
We're not sending out emails yet. As slots open up for the Closed Beta, we plan to be sending out Beta keys in the thousands! With the Closed Beta starting again tomorrow, how will I know if I’ve been accepted?
    • As soon as a Beta slot opens up for you, we’ll contact you at the email address you use to log into the Heroes website.
    • As the Beta progresses we’ll be letting more people in, so don’t be put off if you don’t get a key immediately. We’ll be adding a lot of people to the beta.
    What is a Beta?
As we develop a new game it goes through lots of phases. The final ones are called “Beta” and “Launch”. Launch is when we open the game up for the whole world to play. Before we do that we need to ensure everything is ready.
The Beta phase is like a rehearsal for the launch; where we test everything out with a small audience before allowing the rest of the world to play. In a beta you are likely to find lots of small things that don’t work as they should, we call these things “bugs”. We’ll need your help to find these bugs, so we can squash them. *I had a Beta Key, but I lost the email. What do I do?
Unfortunately we can't re-send Beta Keys. If you didn't keep the email with your Beta Key, you will have to re-apply for one.

LEFT 4 DEAD VIDEOS BY BERSERKPHREAK ARE UP
Left 4 Dead Videos by BerSerKPhReaK

For those who don't already know, Left 4 Dead is an excellent game developed by Valve who you should know. If not, you know them as the developers of the Half Life and Counter Strike series among others. In Left 4 Dead, you play as one of four survivors trying to escape the zombie apocalypse in four campaigns with five maps each. In multiplayer mode, you play four on four matches: Four survivors trying to get from safehouse to safehouse to stock up on weapons, ammo and health. Meanwhile four other players play as any one of the Special Zombies who have their own unique skills who try to keep the survivors from reaching the safehouse and killing them. Sounds awesome right?

Well it is. The gameplay is fun, simple and impossibly addictive. Beyond that, the gameplay forces you to work as a team. The demo is no longer available, but since I have an illegal copy [i] I am able to play the single player campaigns. Sounds pretty sweet right? Well, after sacrificing hours of my time, I took the liberty of capturing all that I could from the singleplayer campaign to let you guys see how intense and fun this game is. I narrarate the entire video to explain things you can't see and to provide more in-depth information.

Left 4 Dead - The Basics

Left 4 Dead - The Weapons

Left 4 Dead - The Enemies

If this looks like something you could get into [Which you should, it is an excellent game.], the game is now as low as $40 USD or roughly 30 Euros. We currently have four members who play or will begin playing shortly and I urge you to join us!

    Enjoy!

P.S. Please watch these videos, it took a very long time for me to record the footage, arrange it and record audio!
